Part Number: DRV8835

Hi Sir,

We are studying on DRV8835, and there is a regulator (REG1) on DRV8835 EVM board.

As I know, there isn’t any power on sequence between VM and VCC.

So is it used for isolate VCC and VM or any other usage?

Is there any risk when we assign VM and VCC in the same power source?

    Hi Ian,

    If you look on page 9 of the DRV8835 datasheet, it says that VM and VCC can be connected to the same power source if both voltages are less than 7V. However, the absolute maximum VCC value is 7V. For that reason, you want to make sure that VCC is not close to 7V or it could cause damage to the device.
