DRV110: EN pin maximum voltage

Hi,

What is the maximum voltage we can apply on the EN pin of the DRV110?

I blew one IC after using 24VDC to toggle ON/OFF. Then I used the evaluation board DRV110EVM and measured 5 Votls on the EN pin.

I could go with 5 Volts but I would like to know the limitation of this input.

Hi Soulaiman,

Up to 7V that's no issue, 5V is good solution.

Thank you Costin for the quick answer.

I have another issue with the DRV110 voltage supply. I followed the spec from table 3. My supply voltage is 24 volts.

On the development board DRV110EVM, I measure 15 volts for Vin at TP11 but only 5Volts at the same point on my board! I have used different set of resistor and capacitors, change the DRV110 chip but I still get the same 5 volt. Does anyone have a idea or a solution.

Hi Soulaiman,

Your issue is not related to DRV110. When Vin=5V, what's VCC_24 voltage?

To debug this supply issue my suggestion is to disconnect DRV110 supply( the 9kohm resistor).
