DRV8313: drv8313 capacitor between VCP and VM

Dear team,

I see from datasheet that need put a 0.1uF capacitor between VCP and VM. I wonder why this capacitor is so small? Can I change to other value capacitor?

    Sammi,

    Thanks for posting on the MD forum!

    This capacitor is responsible for holding the 10-12V above VM which is used for the high side gate drive.

    Please do not change the VCP or CPH/CPL capacitor values as the charge pump is designed to operate with these values specifically.

    Are you having an issue that would cause you to want to change these values?

    is there any compute method for this capacitor? or the introduce of the MOS Parameter, such as Vds capacitor?

    Bruce,

    The device has been optimized to operate using the values recommended in the datasheet and these should not be changed. If the correct components are used then we can guarantee the charge pump operation per the specifications in the datasheet.
