TLV62585: EN Pin Pull Up or Down?

Hello E2E,

I have a customer using the TLV62585 which will have the EN pin driven by a host controller. During startup, what happens if the pin is floating (the MCU has not driven a signal yet)? Is there a pull up / down on the pin?

My current thought is to add a weak pull up / down on the EN pin to have it start up into a known state. Is this necessary?

Thanks for your question.

As reported in the datasheet, please do not leave the pin floating, since we cannot assure correct operation.

An external pull up / down could be a good solution.

Understood on not leaving the EN floating. Hence the question. Is there any kind of pull up or down inside the chip though?

Hi Russell,

No the device does not have any dedicated internal pull up/down.

Please insert an external one on the EN pin.
