UCC28730: UCC28730_power_on

Part Number: UCC28730
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28700

Hello Ulrich:

We are all happy- project with UCC28730 proceeding rather well with 2 distinct flavors of products with many combinations of outputs...

But an interesting observation: see attached AC flipped on through Rectification rise to output delays.

See attached.

We have 200 ms+ delay.

That is 3 cycles at 60 Hz, but is that not too much delay given that we have very low output power levels?

I will lower the output capacitors up to the point ripple getting beyond competitive amplitudes: the question is about the low switching frequency of the controller.

Shall we change to UCC28700 which can run at 130kHz?

Low current handling also does not impose clamp in its place we can add the startup resistors for UCC28700 ...

Any of your observations will be highly valuable.
