BQ24161B: HiZ Current Drain

Part Number: BQ24161B

For the BQ24161B, I am looking for more detailed battery discharge current in HiZ mode.

Per the spec, Ibat_hiz is 55uA maximum.  Is there statistical data from the factory?  Or is there at least a nominal current drain available at 25C?

If I read it correctly, Ibatleak is the leakage from battery to the Vsupply input when that supply is at 0V.  Does this 5uA need to be added to the 55uA to get a fully HiZ current drain of 60uA?

Thanks,

Matt Mottier

  • Dear Matt,

The Ibat_hiz is the leakage from the battery while in HIZ mode. Over the recommended operating range the value is 55 uA maximum.

The Ibatleak is the leakage from the battery to the supply. Over the recommended operating range the value is 5 uA maximum.

They do not need to be added because high impedance mode turns off the converter.

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel
