I understand that there are the difference point as the following table.

As for the feature except the above I would like know if it is backward compatible, depending on the device number.

Is it compatible？

Hi Tamio,

I am not sure i understand your question. Are you wanting to know if you can use the TPS2547 in a design that uses the TPS2546 or TPS2544?

Since TPS2544, TPS2546 and TPS2547 is P2P, functionally, TPS2544 can be replaced to TPS2546 or TPS2547, and TPS2546 can be replaced to TPS2547. But TPS2547 may not be able to be replaced to TPS2544 and TPS2546

Is it correct?

Hi Tamio,

I think it depends on what you are wanting out of the device. If all you want is a device that will advertise BC1.2 and legacy chargers with an internal load switch, then all of these parts can be interchanged with one another since they are P2P and their truth tables line up. However, if you are wanting the same exact functionality between all the devices such as their charging advertisements, special modes, etc.., then yes you are right in your statement above that a TPS2547 socket cannot be replaced by the TPS2544 or TPS2546.
