TLV757P: Dropout voltage graph

Part Number: TLV757P

Hi,

According to Figure14 on the TLV757P datasheet P.9, we can find the Dropout voltage graph "2.2-V Dropout Voltage vs Iout".  Which is correct condition on this graph, VIN=3.3V or VOUT=3.3V?   Please let us know.

Also, my customer requests the dropout voltage under the following condition.  Could you please let us know the dropout voltage?

  • Case: Vin = 3.3V, Vout = 2.5V, Iout = 300mA

Please advise us.

Thanks and best regards,
M.HATTORI

  • Hi Hattori,

On Figure 14 P.9, I see the following:

This is for Vout=3.3V not Vin=3.3V.

Also, my customer requests the dropout voltage under the following condition.  Could you please let us know the dropout voltage?

    • Case: Vin = 3.3V, Vout = 2.5V, Iout = 300mA

The device has enough headroom to operate

For your conditions in a worst case

    Rds-on=650mOhms

giving a Vdo=195mV for Vout=2.5V@300mA, therefore: Vin must be at least 2.695V and you are providing 3.3V.

    Best,

    Edgar Acosta
