UC3825: uc3825 or equivalent

Part Number: UC3825

Hello:

There is a circuit for Open loop testing of UC3825 in the d/s.

A long time ago, I had witnessed testing of this IC( with Unitrode lab in Irvine, CA)...so I know open-loop PWM generation with complete control over 0-100 % is possible.

We need to generate a variable PWM from 10% to 80% but from 10 kHz to 1 MHz. Most desirable will be 5V outputs. 2 out of phase will be highly desirable also.

Shall we proceed with UC3825 or is there another controller we should explore?

I am aware of an opamp-based App ckt in TI- but that seems to be suitable for sinewave modulation of the PWM and perhaps limited in frequency. On the other hand, maybe more stable than an "open-loop" circuit using a controller such as UC3825.

Any guidance in this matter will be highly appreciated.
