TPS54628: output and input drop issue

Part Number: TPS54628

Hi TI,

We used TPS54628 as system power supply,the load should be around 4.2V/3A.

We found input and output will drop when power on.

Could you help find out what's going on and how to solve it?

    Hi Yuanqing,

    According to the attached waveform, VIN and Vout are dropped about same value. So this may be caused by system ground or system noise.

    What's more, although VIN drop 2V, from 12Vin to 10Vin, TPS54628 still can work and Vout won't drop. We can measure SW waveform during Vout drop (zoom in) to verify this assumption. If SW switching is normal, the drop is not caused by TPS54628.
