Dear Team,

Our customer spec as below:

Vin =27V

Boost to 29V and charge the lead-acid battery. (3A)

Can BQ24450 meet the demand? If not, are there any other suggestions?

The BQ24450 would not be a good fit for this application as a linear charger the power dissipation on the pass element will be high.

Take a look at the BQ24610 app note SLUA992 and BQ24650 app note SLVA437.

We appreciated your great support!

but BQ24610 is buck solution. our customer need to boost voltage from 27V to 29V. [lead-acid battery. (3A)]

Are there any other suggestions?

Hi Jimmy

Sorry, our Lead Acid battery parts are limited and none of them have boost capability, 27V to 29V.
