Hi,

I have two questions about I2C SCL rate for TPS56520.

1. What is the I2C SCL default mode for TPS56520? Standard mode (100khz)?

2. Is there a option to change the mode from the standard mode to fast mode (400khz)?

The TPS56520 supports both standard and fast mode I2C communication. The SCL frequency is set by the I2C Controller initiating communication with the TPS56520, and the TPS56520 can support any SCL frequencies upto 400kHz.

Is there a section in TPS56520 to instruct the users how to set to the fast mode? or that's the standard protocol from I2C spec.?

The User does not need to take any action to allow the TPS56520 to respond to Fast Mode (400kHz) traffic. By default, the I2C interface will operate at what every external SCL frequency is provided, upto 400kHz.

If the I2C controller driving the SCL and SDA pins is operating at 10kHz, 50kHz, 80kHz, 100kHz, 250kHz, 333.317kHz, or 400kHz, the TPS56520 will operate its I2C at the frequency provided.

SCL frequencies greater than 400kHz could introduce communications and bit errors.

This is per the I2C specification, the I2C bus controller, not the TPS56520, which is an I2C target device, drives the SCL pin and sets the frequency.
