TPS731: what's the difference between G4 and nonG4 parts?

Hi Team,

I found TPS73701DRBRG4 & TPS73701DRBR on packaging information list. but i don't know what's difference between them. could you help to know it?

    Hi Mark,

    G4 just stands for the PN associated with "green" devices - ie Pb free and Tin Free devices.

    During the transition not all customers transitioned to the green parts right away and had a transition plan, so thus this nomenclature was developed to help expedite the process.

    Now all devices are free of these materials, and thus there is no difference between the two.
