LM36923: LM36923 I2C disable

Hi,

If the LM36923 LED driver IC is not using the I2C function and using the default, can SDA SCL not be connected? Or does it need to be grounded for more insurance?

Hi Rock,

I do not think LM36923 can be used without I2C. The device need to be enabled by writing the chip enable bit high firstly.

dose it mean LM36923 needed I2C command to set up Mode 01 "PWM Only (brightness mode 01)"?

Hi Hardy,

The PWM duty cycle is multiplied with the I2C brightness code at the output of the ramper.

Which regisistor need to writing by the chip.

Hi Rock,

Sorry I made a mistake before. The device can work as stand-alone configuration without I2C writes. You could both leave the SCL/SDA float or connecting to GND.
