Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22922
Hi support team,
What is the recommended capacity of the output capacitor?
Is it 0.1μF or more?
Regards,
Dice-K

Hi support team,
I'm sorry, I may have misunderstood.
Should the output capacitor be smaller?
Is it better not to use it?
Regards,
Dice-K
Hello Dice-K,
The recommended output capacitance is 1 uF. You can also use 0.1 uF. 1 uF CL was used in the timing specs while 0.1 uF CL was used in the electrical characteristics. It's definitely better to have a CL capacitor.

Kalin Burnside
Hi Kalin,
Thank you for your reply.
The input capacitor will be 1μF.
If the output capacitor is set to 1μF, the capacitance of the input capacitor and the output capacitor will be the same.
Isn't there a backflow from VOUT to VIN like TPS22922 when powering off?
Best regards,
Dice-K
Hi Dice-K,
As long as your supply has a sufficient power capability, this 10:1 ratio might not be needed (even 1:1 can be okay) and with QOD and reverse current blocking implemented in the device, reverse current flow should not be an issue.
Have you experienced a backflow from Vout to Vin in the TPS22922 when powering off?
Best Regards,
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for your reply.
I have never actually experienced a backflow.
I was just curious because there is a note in the data sheet of TPS22922.
Best regards,
Dice-K
