BQ24130: Current limitation at VBATSHRT=2V

Dear e2e support,

I'm following the thread below, for which my customer is also facing this charge current limitation when VBATSHRT is less than 2V (use case of super cap charging):

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/856000/supercap-charger?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=BQ24130%2525252520AND%2525252520supercap#

Could you explain how is set this current limitation?

In my case, we want to charge at 500mA, and it limits the charge current around 300mA until it reaches this 2V. So, why 300mA? is it a percentage of the charge current?

Is there a way to inhibit this protection for super cap charging?

Regards,
