Hi team,
My customer is trying to replace the TLV62084 with TLV62084A due to the tight delivery. They currently connect the PG-pin of TLV62084 to the EN-pin of another DC / DC to form a power sequence. Is there anything they should be aware of for this power sequence when they replace the TPS62084 with the TPS62084A? From the Table2 and 3 in the d/s, it seems that the differences are when Shutdown (EN=Low), UVLO , and Thermal Shutdown. I have a question about UVLO. The PG of TPS62084A seems to be Low when 0.7V < VIN < VUVLO. The meaning of VUVLO is Input voltage falling. Therefore, in the rise time of VIN, PG keeps low until VUVLO+ Hysteresis?

Yamaguchi
Hi Yamaguchi,
Yes, you are right. UVLO is under voltage lockout which shutdowns the device until voltage gets greater than V(UVLO)+V(HYS_UVLO). You have to be careful with PG pin status when EN is low because there comes the difference between TLV62084 and TLV62084A. Please refer to the diagram below which explains the difference between A and non-A version of TLV62084.
Is it possible to share the schematic? So that I can check if there are some changes required in schematic.
You can also check this application note (https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva803/slva803.pdf), it explains the PG pin behavior of TLV62084 and TLV62084A.
