Hello expert,
My customer is asking to parallel 3 pcs TPS22976 which has 6 channels. May we know if it is workable from your side? Power rail is 5V/17.1A. If 3pcs is not okay, how about 2 pcs? Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
Ann Lien

Hello Ann,
It's possible to parallel the device for more current handling; however, please note that this is only in the case of all devices sharing the same supply. If you use separate supplies it will result in damage/failure. Some concerns with paralleling devices are slight differences in Ron which cause one device to take on more current than another, and variation in turn-on time between devices which can result in one device handling the entirety of the load for a very brief moment.
I would recommend that the customer should test the configuration in their system to see if the performance is acceptable.
