TPSM63606: Is there a possibility to use two TPSM in parallel to double the output current?

We need 3.3V with 8..10A out of 10..30V with high efficiency, very limited space, low EMI and synchronised switch frequency above 2MHz. We prefer fully integrated modules.

The TPSM do not have any inputs/outputs for power share regulation. Is there any possibility to use two TPSM in parallel to double the output current? How?

Hello,

The TPSM63606 6A power module is not directly parallelable as COMP is not available externally. We normally tie the COMP pins (if available) together to achieve paralleling for current-mode controlled ICs.

My recommendation is to use the LM25145 or LM25148 controller to achieve a high density, thermally-efficient 10A single-phase solution. Let me know if you need more detail on that.

The LM25148 or LM25149 would do the job, but are not a fully integrated module and does not even have an integrated switch.

Yes, external FETs...but that provides better flexibility and thermal performance.

For a regulator with integrated FETs, please consider the LM61495 36V/10A buck converter optimized for power density and low EMI (available in commercial and automotive grades):
