UC3906: Will UC3906 be a good alternative of BQ24450?

Hi team,

This is Xiaoying, my customer is utilizing BQ24450 but recently they are facing with shortage issue.

We find that UC3906 might be a good alternative as it is pin-to-pin with BQ24450 and customer can buy UC3906 stock directly from their vendor.

Seems that UC3906 is not recommended for new design as linear chargers are not the best fit due to loss, thermal rise and efficiency. And also, the temperature range for UC3906 is narrower. But if customer wants to do this replacement to address shortage issue recently, will you have any concern? Or do you have any suggestions to come up with? Thanks.
