Hello,

I'm using the TPS274160B at my design.

I'm not using the current sense function, only the current limit function, so I put the DIAG_EN in high state, and the SEH and SEL at low state (open).

My question is, if there is overload or short (according to the current limit) at any output, will the FAULT_N give an indication without referring the SEH and SEL? Or the overload/short indication is for OUT0 only?

Hi Asaf,

The fault signal is a global signal, and it will be triggered if any of the channel has fault.

Thanks for your fast reply.

I want also to make sure - must the current sense pin be connected to pu + pd?

It says at the datasheet (p.16) that the CS pin works as fault report with pu. I dont need to use the CS function. So can it be left open (the CL pin has 332 ohm pd).

If you are not using CS functionality, then you can leave it floating.
