TPS51200-EP: calculating current stress and power dissipation

Part Number: TPS51200-EP

Team,

I have questions on calculating current stress and power dissipation using TPS51200MDRCTEP on a DDR3 application and hope you can help me.

If VLDOIN = +1.5V, REFIN = VO = +0.75V, VIN = +2.5V, and current out on VO = 375mA, would the power dissipation on the device be PD=0.375*0.75=.0281W and the input current at VLDOIN also be 0.375A since this is an LDO supply ?

What is the contribution through VIN?

Does it supply current to Vtt?

Would it be the Iin supply current 1 mA from the datasheet?

Thank you!

    That is correct.

VIN is only an input for the internal UVLO comparator; this is shown below as well as on Page 11 of the datasheet:

The current from the VIN source Iin in the datasheet, 1mA, is for a no load condition. For a load of 0.375mA, Iin increases to 10mA.

    Thanks,
