Hi team,

My customer is looking for a buck module in CT detector to replace EN6310QI.

The requirements are as below:

1. 5V input and 1.1V output.

2. Output current is 0.3A max.

3. Frequency is 2.2MHz and efficiency is 80%

4. QFN or SOP package. (So µSiL (10) of TPSM82821 can't meet it)

Could you please help provide your comments and suggestions?

Hi Wendy,

These are the modules we have in QFN package for the specs you mentioned - LMZ30602 (2A output current) and TPSM82864A (4A output current). The LMZ30602 has a lower switching frequency. Max frequency possible for 5V Vin to 1.1V is 650kHz. This can be extended to 900kHz via external synchronization.

Can you let me know why the customer can't use the uSiL? Also can you provide info on who the customer is ?

Thank you for your help!

The customer is GE and it is an already MP project.

They have not used uSiL package before and not familiar with this package. So they are afraid that the design time will be longer if they use an unfamiliar package.
