Hi team,

The customer has 2 questions:

1. How to configure this fuel gauge drive?

2. If the battery loses power after one year of use, how will the gauge calculate the battery charge? And how dose the system show?

Hello Cherry,

1. This document will help you in configuring the fuel gauge https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua902/slua902.pdf

2. If the battery loses power, then the gauge will track it until the voltage drops below gauge supply voltage. When the battery is charged again, then the gauge will resume operation. A rest of 5 hours after charging will be required for gauge to start reporting accurately. If the battery degraded, then the gauge will detect this after a qualifying discharge.
