TPS53015: Setting Inductor saturation current, max Irms

I am simulating the part number above in PSpice for TI. The simulation runs fine, but I'm attempting to simulate the effect of saturation current on the inductor. How can I enter my desired value for saturation current? Also related to that, how do I enter a value for the max RMS current? There is a property labeled CURRENT, and I put the value there, but it does not appear to be taking it into account. My results do not differ much when the current drawn is below the saturation current.

The default inductor represented by L in Pspice does not have capability to model the effects of saturation current. To model such effects, you need to look at modeling the magnetics. The simplest way would be to check if the inductor vendor has a Pspice model that already captures that and use that as a subcircuit in your design.

If such a model is not available, you can refer to the datasheet and look for the inductance versus DC current graph and then use the corresponding inductance at your DC operating point as the inductor L value in the simulation.

Modeling magnetics is a little more involved and your might find literature on the web on how to do that in Pspice.
