I checked the switching node of the IC when the load is close to 0A, a little bit more than 1A and a little bit more than 3A.
With no load IC enters the PSM mode as expected.
With a 1A load, switching frequency is 2.9 Mhz and with a 3A load, switching frequency is 2.5 Mhz.
My input supply is 5.14V and output of the TPS62085 is set to 3.27V. (Cout -> 3x 10u, L-> 0.47uH)
In datasheet on figure-1 typical switching frequency is 2.4 Mhz at 1A load when the output is 1.2V.
The switching frequency that I measure on my circuitry is okay? Is there any defined range for the IC or is there any formulla that I can use to calculate the switching frequency?
