Maximum positive transient voltage on SW pin of TPS40021?

Hi,

In the data sheet of TPS40021, we have shown the negative transient voltage spike on SW pin: -5V/<50nS.

But we don't show the spec for positive transient voltage spike.

Can you help to provide this spec? Because some of our customers need it. Thanks.

Oliver,

There is no positive transient rating to the SW node in addition to the 10.5V rating already provided. Voltages in excess of 10.5V, even for a very narrow time period, could result in IC damage. Ringing on the SW node should be controlled to maintain a peak voltage less than 10.5V.
