TPS6593-Q1: PMIC for Automotive MCU recommendation

Hi Chris,

If we use LP8764-Q1 as our PMIC, we will also need one pre-regulator to change voltage from 14(nominal, from 9-42V input range) to 5V for LP8764-Q1 input. Do you have any recommendation? We also need automotive grade regulator.

Also one more question, how to set LP8764-Q1 into 2phase+1phase+1phase output? Is there any hardware bootstrap to achieve that? Or we need to program it through IIC interface. Is there any other more convenient way?

Hi Chris,

If we buy LP8764-Q1 from Digikey or Mouser, how can we configure the output phase combination? Can we change the NVM content if we want to change the configuration? If we can, how can we do that? If we request NVM from TI, how can we load it onto the chip?

If we combine BUCK1 and BUCK2 output directly, it will be automatically in two phases output? Do we need to program any register to set BUCK1 and BUCK 2 together as one output?

For this EVM, is there AEVM onboard, so I can connect this board directly to PC to use that GUI to configure PMIC?

And why there is no order button? How can I order this EVM?

Hi Chris,

Can I use TPS6594 EVM onboard AEVM to configure other PMIC? For example LP8764 on our own boards, we just need to bring IIC interface out to header, right? With that header I can used TPS6594EVM onboard AEVM to configure LP8764?
