TPS62866: SDA/SCL pin status during EN=Low

Hello,

My customer is sharing TPS62866 I2C interface with other I2C slave devices.
When VIN is on and EN is low, TPS62866 SDA and SLC pins are floating so that they do not disturb I2C communication between host and other slave I2C?

Hello Hirano-san,

When EN is low, I2C of TPS62866 is disable. When the I2C bus is idle, the SDA and SCL pins are pulled high to VBUS.

TPS62866 when disable will not disturb I2C communication between host and slave I2C.

So do you mean TPS62866 SDA/SCL does not drive high, but they are pulled high by external pull up resisters, right?

Hi Hirano-san,

You are correct. The I2C lines are open drain structures. The pull-up resistors are external to the device.
