TPS65261-1: About control method of PGOOD signal

Part Number: TPS65261-1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54335A

Hello,

I am considering the circuit below.
The PGOOD signal of TPS65261-1 controls two TPS54335A.
EN of TPS54335A is set to turn on when VIN is 9V.
The reason is to start TPS54335A after TPS65261-1 is completely started.
It is assumed that the TOP resistance R11 of EN is 100 kΩ and the BOTTOM resistance R12 is about 15 kΩ.
Does the circuit I thought of work normally?
If you have any problems, please give me your opinion.

Best regards,

  • Kaji,

Yes, this configuration should work.  With the Enable pins of both TPS54335A devices connected to the same PGOOD net, I would recommend a single resistor divider with each resistor 1/2 the value, rather than two separate dividers.

Additionally, I would recommend adding a capacitor from the EN net to ground to prevent noise on the EN signal.
