Hi Peter,

Here are some general app notes for heatsink design:

This is quite a small DSBGA package which may make heatsinking difficult. Has the customer evaluated their application's power and operating temperature requirements in the context of the above application notes to determine if a heatsink is necessary?

They can refer to the DLPDLCR2000EVM (https://www.ti.com/tool/DLPDLCR2000EVM) components for typical power requirements.

Based on the current requirements of these devices, the majority of the power dissipation in the application is likely the RGB LEDs driven by the DLPA1000 buck-boost.
