BQ25120F3A: MR function

Part Number: BQ25120F3A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25120

Hi,

Does datasheet have explain about MR function detail?

I have read "9.3.23 Manual Reset Timer and Reset Output ( MR and RESET)", but can't understand the time sequence.

If I pull MR pin to low, it enter to Hi-Z mode, right?

How do I leave the Hi-Z mode?

Need set any register or pull what pin to active the BQ25120? I can't use I2C command to BQ25120 after I pull MR pin to low.

Thanks!

Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

You set /CD pin low to enter HiZ mode on battery only. The /MR pin is used for button functions only.

To exit HiZ mode, you drive /CD pin high or VIN is plugged in. Thereafter I2C is active.

Here is a document that also has FAQs on this device which you might find useful.
