TLV766-Q1: Question about line regulation.

Hello Team,

Our customer have some question about line regulation spec. It shows the max is 0.02%/V.

Q1. Does the line regulation characteristic of TLV766-Q1 will increase monotonic? (If Vin will increase, Vout will increase as well?

Q2. Is there min/typ value?

Q3. The test condition of this spec is Iout=10mA. If the Iout is other value, will the line regulation be same spec?(Max=0.02%/V)

    Hello Yuta-San,

                            Please find below my responses to your queries:

    (1) No, the line regulation characteristic is not monotonic. With increasing VIN, VOUT could decrease or increase depending on the part.

    (2) You can assume the Min value to be -0.02%V (simply the negative of the Max positive value). I will send you an email regarding the typical value.

    (3)  At this time we do not have data/graphs to show variation of line regulation with load current for this device. However in general the line regulation spec does not vary with the load current by a significant amount, as long as the part does not hit current limit or thermal shutdown.
