LP87524-Q1: LP87524-Q1

Part Number: LP87524-Q1

Hi,

My customer decided to use LP87524-Q1 for their new product, but he has a question about this chip. There are 4 power output channels of LP87524-Q1, but why there are only three EN pins? And how to control 4 converters independently by 3 enabe pins? Thanks!

  • Hello Roger,

EN pins are multiplexed as GPIOs and depending on programming they can be used for controlling bucks, or they can be GPIO outputs/inputs. Sequencing and control is programmed to the device registers. In most cases EN1 is used for initiating the sequencing for all bucks startup/shutdown and you can configure the delays in the registers. See more details on the app note: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snvu596/snvu596.pdf. Note customer can only change the registers which are volatile memory and the settings would be lost on power down.

    Thanks.
