BQ24450: Life Expectancy for this part

I am updating a design for a client and they need to provide a 10 year lifecycle for their products. The product is expected to be release in about 18 months. Will this product still be available and supported? I see that the web site states that it is replaced by the BQ24650, but that is a Solar Powered charger that is a switching regulator.

Hi Dan,

I do not see where it says BQ24450 has been replaced by bq24650, we do have a way to make the bq24650 work with lead acid: www.ti.com/.../slva437

No plans to NRND the BQ24450.

Although the part is listed as active, when I look at available stock, it shows that the part has been replaced. If this is not a concern, then we will continue to use the part.
