UCC2803-Q1: boost design

Hi Team,

UCC2803-Q1 should be able to do boost, but I see all designs including application in datasheet/ webench/ reference designs are all isolated flyback solution. So I'd like to check if there is limitation on boost design and if there is any design guide line on boost.

Requirement from my customer is

9-12V Vin, 60V Vout, 1A Iout.

From duty cycle it should be OK not sure is there is other concern. Thanks.

Yes,. it is a general PWM Control, it can also be used for buck, boost, Forward.

The Simplified Application Diagram in the first page of datasheet is just a Boost topology.

It has same pinout as UC3842 and UCCx8C4x. You can find the reference from them.

Hi Given,

It is a very simple device, i don't think a reference is needed.

The selection of components below can be referred to the datasheet. Keep in mind, it is a current mode control, the slope compensation may be required.
