BQ2982: R_BAT and R_VDD max value

Hello E2E,

What is the maximum value for R_VDD and R_BAT for BQ298215? For example, for a 1kohm resistor for R_BAT, is any accuracy loss in the voltage measurement? The maximum output current of our customer battery is about 30mA but the recommended value for the resistors is 20ohms and they to increase this value to protect the battery.

Hi Carlo,

You would need to test with a 1k resistor to see if it still meets your requirements. I think this large of a value will show an impact to accuracy but I cannot quantify what that will be.
