TLV717P: Measure battery voltage through LDO: Bypass/pass-through option?

Hi Team,

A customer would like to measure battery voltage through an LDO. For that they are looking for an LDO with bypass or pass-through to avoid misreadings. Do we have an LDO that supports this feature?

Vout = 3.6V

Iout < 20mA

Hi Franz,

Can you share more regarding this application? Are you looking to extend the battery life?

It is more common to use an Op-Amp or to directly probe to the battery to measure its voltage.

HI Edgar,

This is an energy harvesting device. So they need to keep the BOM/load small to extend battery life. Does such an LDO exist?

Hi Franz,

We have a blog that talks about how to extend the battery life with an LDO, however, its does require using a voltage detector and a FET, we do not have an LDO that has this functionality as is.
