TPS2115A-Q1: Operating free-air temperature

Hi Team,

Let me ask two quick questions.
1. Could you tell me the background why this device's operation range is limited up to 85C?
2. What kind of list will be estimated if the device will use in 100C ambient condition?

My customer is interested in TPS2115-Q1 for ORing or low voltage power rail but their developing board is mounted very hot area in system.
Actually, load current is not so much, estimated less than 100mA but max ambient would be over 100C around the board.
This condition is violate abs max of this device at "Operating free-air temperature".

Hello Onawa-san,

We do not recommend using our devices outside of the ABS values listed in the datasheet.

What are the customer's parameters? If automotive grade is a requirement then we do not have other power mux options; however, you can use load switches or efuses to power mux between the rails. see the link below for more information regarding this topic.

We have LM66100-Q1 and TPS22953-Q1 which could both be potential solutions depending on the parameters.
