UCC28C45-Q1: Cycle skipping / Hiccup

Part Number: UCC28C45-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28C45, TL431

Dear TI,

I am currently prototyping a flyback converter design using an UCC28C45QDRQ1 controller in voltage mode at a switching frequency of 500kHz. I noticed the converter works in hiccup mode up to a certain load, switching consistently for a couple of cycles and then pausing a couple of pulses. The amount of pulses for which it switches increases with load until at a certain load the switching becomes constant. There is no mention of hiccup behaviour in the datasheet. Preferably i would like the converter to switch without any interruptions across the entire load range, and would have expected the controller to limit the pulse width rather than the amount of switching cycles at low loads (also based on the datasheet). Could you provide me with any information how i might achieve this?

Kind regards,
