UC2825A-EP is an improved version of UC2825.

Is this a drop in replacement? I have external clock and RAMP for synchronization of multiple channels.

UC2825 is used in models in production. It is out of stock now everywhere. I bought samples of UC2825A-EP to evaluate. Datasheet comparison looks pin to pin compatible. I am looking for experts opinion here so that there won't be any surprises while testing. Irrespective of opinion here, I have to test.

the UC2825A-EP is enhanced drop-in replacements for the UC2825. Here is an application note you can refer to. Comparing to UC2825, UC2825A-EP has some improvements in performance and protection. For your concern about clock and RAMP, I think UC2825A-EP is better than UC2825. Because UC2825A-EP has more accurate oscillator frequency and high bandwidth. www.ti.com/.../slua125.pdf
