TPS62806: keeps charging when EN is low

 I have the following schematic  The problem is with R140 and R141 changed to 0 ohms and a common mode resistance of 57k (typ) in the comparator the buck regulator APPEARS to charge. It does not charge when disconnected to the comparator circuit but remains at a steady 0.4V which is what I want. When connected to the comparator - whether ignoring the state of the enable signal- it charges to a voltage of 2.1V. The 300mV reference stays at 0.3V. Just curious what is happening and if there is a fix to maintain 0.4V. and use the comparator (In later designs I am using the LMV7275 but it has a different pinout than this comparator footprint). The datasheet says that if there is a leakage path the voltage will be incorrect. Which might be what's happening but I can't simulate it.

    Sorry for the late response. The TPS62806 has a max voltage of 0.775V, so I don't an extra leakage path on the VSEL pin causing the output to go to 2.1V.

    Is it possible there is something else pulling the positive input of the comparator high? Can you check the voltage on the positive input of the comparator when the buck converter is disconnected from it?

  • The TPS62806 has a voltage of 0.4V when VSEL=10k which I get when disconnected from the comparator. When disconnected from the regulator the voltage is 0.5V min and charges upward. So my guess is that the comparator is the root of the problem. But i had to find out if the regualtor is contributing
