Hello Team,
is it possible to use hybrid electrolytic capacitor as output capacitor for TPS61027?
For example: EEH-ZK Series | Panasonic Industrial Devices
Many Thanks

Hi Josef,
It is recommended to keep your bulk capacitor's capacitance between 47uF to 100uF, and ESR around 30mOhm. It looks like the capacitor youve chosen is too large (470uF) and ESR is non-known.
In addition, a 2.2uF ceramic capacitor must be placed on VOUT too.

Hello Wenhao, understand and this means for example this capacitor would fulfill the requirements?
https://na.industrial.panasonic.com/products/capacitors/aluminum-electrolytic-capacitors/lineup/conductive-polymer-hybrid-aluminum-electrolytic/series/89/model/185
This one has 100uF and ESR max. 35mOhm. Could this replace our tantalum capacitor recommendation?
BR Josef
Hi Josef,
Thank you for reply. I think it would be ok, but youd better test it on your board before engaging mass production.
