UCC2817: Replacement for UC2854

Hello. I would like to know if UCC2817 can be used as a direct replacement for UC2854, only with accessory RLC component changes?

I have an application that uses the UC2854A to drive 38-90 Vin AC to 300+VDC. I need to change it to non-supply constrained components and UCC2817 looked like a suitable option. Can this be done? I tried using the mathcad design file but haven't been able to get it to run.

    Hi Hector, while very similar, A UCC2817 can't simply be populated in a design to replace the UC2854. However, with some component value changes, you can likely get it to work in your design.

    I would definitely be best to use the calculator to help with this. I will take a look at the Mathcad file to see what might be going on there. What trouble are you having?
