Hello,

I'm considering a lithium-ion battery charger.
It uses a 5200mAh lithium-ion battery.
In addition, the charging current is 1A, and temperature monitoring is required.
The battery connection configuration is 3 series and 2 parallel.

I think BQ24171 and BQ24133 are good, but can these devices be charged in two parallels?
If these devices cannot be charged in parallel, please introduce possible devices.

    Hi,

    The total charge current can be supported by either of these chargers. From a charger perspective, paralleling the batteries add to the capacity and not the charge regulation voltage, so it makes no difference to the charger IC. To ensure they are charging at equal rate you will need to look into adding a cell balancing circuit. There is no need to parallel chargers for parallel battery configuration.
