LMG3410R070: bypass capacitor

hello,

in datasheet section 9.2.2.3 is described the bypass capacitor should be 2.2uF to ensure 1uF at least. How critical is this 1uF? the 2.2uF capacitor in the market can barely have1uF ensured, most of them can not meet it. do we have to ensure the 1uF? then we might need to use a 4.7uF to ensure this.

Hi Rui,

The 1 uF is needed to manage the ripple of the buck-boost regulator. I have attached a link to a 2.2uF capacitor where you can take a look at the DC Bias Characteristic graph. The capacitor will be biased to -14V across VNEG and therefore will derate to about 1.5uF.
