TPS7A19: Minimum input voltage

Hi support team,

In the "SUPPLY VOLTAGE AND CURRENT" item of SBVS256A, there is a description that the minimum input voltage value is "Vout + 0.5V".
This value is the value when Iout = 450mA, and when using it at Iout = 100mA, is there any problem with the minimum input voltage value "Vout + 0.1V typ."?

Actually, we are considering using it with the following values.
・ Vin: 5.2V "Designed with double the dropout voltage 100mV typ. (Iout = 100mA) described in SBVS256A."
・ Vout: 5V
・ Iout: 100mA

Hello Dice,

The max dropout spec for the device is provided to be 450mV at 400mA of load current and it scales linearly with load current. For a load current of 100mA, V_IN - V_OUT differential greater than 115mV would ensure regulation. Your test condition of V_IN = 5.2V, V_OUT = 5V and I_OUT = 100mA should work. Thanks!
