TPS61046: soft start

Hi Team,

From the datasheet, we can see there is a Internal 10-ms Soft Start Time, is there a range? and why is a segment of the waveform horizontal during soft start?

    Hi Hailiang,

    The soft start time is composed of two phases. First is pre-charge phase, the fixed time is 5ms, so there will be a voltage platform when Vout is charged to Vin. The second phase is switching soft start phase, the time is also typically 5ms. So the total soft start time typically is 10ms. Sorry we don't have a range of soft start time.
