Hi,

I'm trying to change my CHEM_ID. I gone through the learning procedure. I used initially BQStudio initially the chem id value nearer to my battery. But, I cannot assure whether it is proper one or not. Can you tell, what chem id best suits for Li-ion battery,3.6v,2150mAh,7,74Wh specifications of battery, without doing learning cycle.

    Hello Kavya,

    In order to get a chemistry ID match, use the GPCCHEM tool. The GPCCHEM tool page has instructions on how to create the logs. The learning cycle is done after the correct chem ID is programmed.

    Hi Suresh, 

    That means correct chem ID is found using gpcchem tool,  where we perform charge, relax, discharge,relax tests. After getting correct Chem ID, we perform learning cycle.  Is this learning cycle important if chem ID match is found. Where this learning cycle output file is used then. Is learning cycle used only for mass production purpose. If not considering manufacturing of battery, can I avoid doing learning cycle process.

    Hello Kavya,

    The correct chemID needs to be programmed to the gauge, and all system parameters written to the gauge before running learning cycle. The learning cycle is required to verify accuracy. You should take a golden image after running the learning cycle. Then verify accuracy. If accuracy is good, then you can use that golden image for  mass production.
