BUF16821: About General Acquire Command

Part Number: BUF16821

About General Acquire Command

Hello,

I would like to ask you about the General Acquire Command for BUF16821.

It is a recognition that all channels can be operated (the non-volatile memory value is set in the DAC register and output) with this command.
However, one DAC / VCOM pointer address is to be set.

For example, if you set "000000" for OUT1, will it be incremented from OUT1 to OUT16?

Also, is it okay to recognize that the actual voltage output timing from each channel is about 750us after the command is sent?
(Time from when the value is reflected in all DAC / VCOM registers until the voltage is output from each channel)

Also, is there any sample code for setting the General Acquire Command?

Best regards,

  • Hello,

Yes, it is correct that with general acquire command, all DAC/VCOM registers will be updated with the last stored values in the eeprom. Only one DAC/VCOM register needs to be  addressed but bits D7-D6 need to be 10 for this command.

Typical output timing is 750us (+/-80us) after the command is sent.

We do not have any sample code but simple steps to achieve this are provided on page 11 of the datasheet.

I hope that this clarifies your questions.

    Kind Regards,

    Liaqat
